Steve Morgan's Chernobyl

Branch member Steve Morgan is presenting another exhibition of his work in Hebden Bridge:
An exhibition of images taken in the 30km exclusion zone around Chernobyl will open on 26th April at the Alternative Technology Centre, Hebble End Mill, Canal Side, Hebden Bridge to coincide with the anniversary, exactly 20 years ago, of the worlds worst nuclear disaster. Forty nine thousand people from the town of Pripyat 3km from the blast were moved within two and half hours once the order to evacuate had been given -the evacuees were never to return and the town remains as it was left. The pictures were taken in October last year by Hebden Bridge photographer Steve Morgan. Everyone welcome from 3.00pm on Wednesday 26April - the exhibition will run until June.
